This Black Bean Dip is a household favorite! It’s a great dip for serving at parties, and it’s easy to make. (We’ve even used this black bean dip as a quesadilla filling!)
Since the Super Bowl is just a couple of days away now, I decided to share another one of my favorite dips. After all, you can never have enough dips on your Super Bowl appetizer table, right? This one uses black beans as the base, and it’s really quite simple to make. Plus, it’s surprisingly healthy, too! It’s always nice to include at least one healthy option for guests who are still holding true to their New Year’s resolutions. But don’t let the healthy talk fool you…this dip is flippin’ delicious!
I remember a time when I was afraid of black beans. They never really made an appearance on the table when I was a kid (we opted for green beans mostly), so they were kinda unknown to me. But once I discovered these wonderful beans, I was immediately hooked. And now I’m making up for lost time! (Just ask my wife. I’m always trying to throw a can of black beans into all sorts of recipes.)
Aside from dunking chips straight into this Black Bean Dip, I also love using it as a quesadilla filling. In fact, if you don’t want to serve this in dip form for your Super Bowl party, you could easily make several large quesadillas with this filling. If you go this route, just put a small bowl of sour cream in the middle of a big plate of quesadilla wedges. No matter which way you serve it, this dip will be a hit!
