Growing up in a Southern kitchen, David knows a good recipe when he sees one! From baking to grilling, David enjoys exploring all things culinary. After earning his doctorate and working for a number of years in the world of higher education and college athletics, David decided to follow his passion and venture into the world of recipe development and food blogging.

After receiving an undergrad degree from Duke University and a masters from Louisiana State University, David went on to earn his doctorate from the University of Georgia. David currently lives outside of Saratoga Springs, NY, where he enjoys exploring the Northeast with his wife, young son and 2 chihuahua mutts!
In addition to blogging here at Spiced, David often works with national brands on recipe development and recipe testing. He’s worked with Pillsbury, Brownie Brittle, King’s Hawaiian, Hebrew National, and many more! He was also the national winner of the 2013 Sara Lee Desserts Recipe Contest.
