Loaded with your favorite pizza toppings, this Supreme Pizza Pasta Bake is an easy and delicious weeknight meal!We eat a lot of pizza here in our house.  We spent many Saturday nights tweaking (not twerking…although I know it sounds similar) and perfecting our homemade pizza dough recipe, and now it’s a staple weekend meal around here.  But here’s the thing.  Homemade pizza dough takes a bit of planning to make.  You’ve got to start it the night before so it develops flavor.  Then you have to mix it up in the afternoon and let it rise so that the dough is ready for some awesome toppings come dinner-time.  I don’t mind the extra effort…especially when the pizzas are so darned tasty!  But I wanted to find a way to adapt this pizza recipe into a weeknight meal.  Say hello to the Supreme Pizza Pasta Bake.Continue Reading »

These light and crumbly Italian Lemon Cookies are perfect with a cup of coffee!Until recently, I didn’t realize exactly how similar Texas and Italy are.  Italy has pasta, and Texas has….beef.  Italy has ancient buildings, and Texas has…wide open plains.  Ok, so maybe they don’t have that much in common.  This recipe for Italian Lemon Cookies would be much appreciated in Texas, though.  And why is that?  Well, because it makes a boatload of cookies…and we all know that everything in Texas is bigger, right?Continue Reading »

This Reese's Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake features a rich, moist chocolate cake covered in a decadent peanut butter frosting. Garnish with chopped peanut butter cups for a delicious dessert! My wife and I have had our hands full lately.  We’ve been looking at new cars, and that’s just not an easy task.  We’re the kind of people who like to drive our cars 10+ years, so it’s a big decision to make.  We also like to do our research ahead of time (my wife is a scientist after all!).  Our counter is full of car brochures, and I’ve got a whole folder of bookmarks on my computer linking to various car review sites.  Continue Reading »
