Zesty Ranch Pretzels--Warning: These are really, really addicting!!I’m happy to announce that I spent the better part of the last four days watching the NCAA basketball tournament.  At the same time, I’m sad to announce that I’m already out of Warren Buffett’s Billion Dollar Bracket Challenge.  I watch a lot of college basketball, and I fill out a bracket every year…but I still didn’t really think I’d win that billion dollar prize.  (I was out of it after just the first game…thanks a lot, Ohio State.)  But still, when a billion dollars is on the line, you just gotta try, right?  Either way, this is still probably my favorite sports time of the year.  48 games in 4 days?  Count me in!  Of course I needed some delicious snacks to munch on during all of these games…and these Zesty Ranch Pretzels are one of my favorites.  They use Hidden Valley’s Ranch Salad Dressing Mix for a quick and easy ranch flavor…and they’re really addicting.  I mean really addicting.  As in, I could barely stop long enough to take these pictures without munching on another one!

Zesty Ranch Pretzels--Warning: These are really, really addicting!!I’m sure some people could care less about all the basketball games, but college basketball is in my blood.  I grew up in the Carolinas, where college basketball is the sport.  Nearly every car sports a bumper sticker from one of the many colleges in the area…and most of those colleges are really good at college basketball.  Even though I now live in upstate New York, my love of college basketball has not faded one bit.  I still wear my lucky t-shirt and drink out of my lucky coffee mug on game day.  I still cheer just as loud as if I was at the actual game.  (Ok, maybe not quite as loud…it scares the dogs.)  All the while, my wife just looks at me with this quasi-amused face and rolls her eyes.  Like I said, I can’t help it.  College basketball is in my blood!

Zesty Ranch Pretzels--Warning: These are really, really addicting!!But back to the real reason for this post–these delicious Zesty Ranch Pretzels.  I discovered this keeper of a recipe when I was living down in Louisiana and a friend brought them over as a party appetizer.  One bite and I was hooked!  And I’ve been making them for my own parties for years now.  The secret ingredient here is a pack of Hidden Valley Original Ranch Salad Dressing Mix.  Toss in a bit of garlic powder and cayenne pepper, and the end result is one of the most delicious snacks you’ll ever eat.  Trust me.  As for me, I’m off to watch some more basketball…with a big bowl of these pretzels to keep me company!

From dressings and dips to sandwich spreads and side dish solutions, the special blend of herbs and spices makes Hidden Valley the perfect addition to any recipe. For more delectable ranch recipes, visit www.hiddenvalley.com.
