I’ve partnered with SocialStars and Johnsonville® to share this fun and refreshing Sparkling Maple Lemonade. Grab a glass of lemonade and fire up the grill! #SausageFamily
A little over a year ago, my wife and I wandered over one weekend to a maple farm in western Massachusetts. This farm had a little cafe with legendary pancakes, and of course they served those pancakes with fresh maple syrup. This place lived up to the hype!
We both enjoyed a tall stack of pancakes for breakfast, and we had the chance to sample each of the various grades of maple syrup. (If you ever have the opportunity to try the different grades side-by-side, do it! It’s amazing how different they taste. The grades have nothing to do with quality, but rather when the syrup is made during the season.)
The winter snows were just melting away, and the farm was busy boiling maple sap down to the syrup that we all know and love. As we walked through their boiling room and production facility, we got to try several unique maple products. Maple cream is one of our all-time favorite treats, but we also discovered maple cotton candy (amazing!) and maple lemonade (equally amazing!). Maple syrup really is nature’s candy.
By now, you guys should know that I love to grill, right? On any given night, you can find me on the back deck grilling anything from fresh zucchini out of the garden to marinated chicken to stuffed pork loins. But sometimes we just want an easy meal. Tell me you know what I’m talking about here! I love spending time in the kitchen, but sometimes I just want to take it easy. But I still want to grill…that’s a no-brainer! That’s where Johnsonville® Grillers come in handy.
We usually keep a stash of various Johnsonville® sausages in the freezer, but I recently came across their line of Grillers. Made from premium cuts of pork, these burgers are delicious. Delicious and easy! They are grilled straight from frozen, so they are perfect for those weeknight meals when you’re just too tired to spend time in the kitchen. (We all have those nights!) My favorite variety is the new Steakhouse Onion Grillers, although the Cheddar Cheese & Bacon is close second.
Since warm summer evenings with delicious burgers require a refreshing drink, I whipped up a pitcher of lemonade. Inspired by the maple lemonade we sampled last spring, I decided to take the idea one step further and make this lemonade with sparkling water. This Sparkling Maple Lemonade is a fun and refreshing drink that’s perfect for relaxing on the back porch. Or in a hammock.
