16 Delicious Thanksgiving Pies

Not counting a delicious smoked turkey, my second favorite Thanksgiving dish is homemade macaroni and cheese.  I didn’t think that was one bit odd until I met my wife, who informed me that mac & cheese is not a traditional Thanksgiving side dish.  Homemade mac & cheese was always a holiday staple in my house growing up! Are we the only ones who served mac & cheese at Thanksgiving??

But if macaroni and cheese is my second favorite dish, then what’s in the top slot?  Well, dessert of course!  Yup, my favorite part of the Thanksgiving meal comes at the end.  I’m guessing I’m not alone in my love of Thanksgiving sweets, either.  (Be honest.)  There’s something about that second piece of cheesecake or pecan pie that really helps you prepare for the afternoon football games.  (or to be more accurate, helps you nap through them…)  I’m excited to share this collection of 16 delicious pies with you today.  And you can be sure that I will be making at least one (and probably several) of these pies come Turkey Day!

    1. Thanks so much for stopping by, Kate! I’m looking forward to your Foodie collection tomorrow. 🙂 Laura and I were just talking about Thanksgiving plans tonight, so it’s time to get inspired for what to make! (or really how many to make…)

    1. Haha, Tracy! I’m kinda ashamed to admit that my favorite mac and cheese recipe uses Velveeta cheese as the base. (It’s the recipe my mother always made growing up…) If you’re ok with Velveeta, then I’d be happy to send it over! 🙂
