This Pecan Praline Bundt Cake features a warm praline frosting poured over a moist cake. Oh, and there’s some sugared pecans in there, too! Enjoy!
We no longer have rolls of toilet paper in our house. Instead, we have piles of tissue on the bathroom floor. I recognize that talking about toilet paper isn’t the most appealing of topics, but this one is just too good to pass up! Robbie is now just over 15 months old, and he is definitely testing his limits. He’s also a true boy in that he gets a bit wild in the afternoons…just about the time when Dad goes on afternoon Robbie duty!
We’ve done a pretty good job at baby-proofing our house. We’ve got those little plastic covers for the electrical outlets. We’ve got padded corners on any side tables within Robbie’s reach. Heck, we even moved our coffee table to the basement for a while so that the little guy has more room to play. But there have been some surprises in there, too. Most notably, the toilet paper.
We mistakenly left the bathroom door cracked recently. Robbie headed down the back hall (where the bathroom is located), but we didn’t think twice. It’s a small hallway, and there’s really nothing he can get into back there. Plus, he loves to watch the clothes tumble around and around in the dryer. So you can imagine the look on our faces when we stepped back a couple of minutes later. Robbie had discovered the toilet paper. More specifically, Robbie had discovered how to unroll the toilet paper onto the floor. And now we have to make sure that bathroom door is closed…
Instead of making the pralines and crumbling ’em on top of the cake, I simply turned the flavors into a frosting that got poured all over the top of the cake. Then I just sprinkled candied pecans all over the frosting before it hardened. Cake + frosting + candied nuts = delicious! I’ve always been a fan of a good bundt cake, and this Pecan Praline Bundt Cake definitely deserves a spot in the recipe box. Or in your bookmarks. Or however you keep your recipes. Enjoy, my friends!
