Watermelon Daiquiris

Blend up a batch of these Watermelon Daiquiris for some fun in the sun this summer!

Blend up a batch of these Watermelon Daiquiris for some fun in the sun this summer!4th of July.  For all of us here in the States, that means a mid-summer vacation day, BBQ’s with friends and of course fireworks.  Ah, fireworks.  I have good memories of going to the fireworks show every year with my family.  I remember sitting on a hillside waiting for it to get dark enough for the show to start.  I’m pretty sure I would ask my mom what time it was about every minute or so.  Ah, the joys of parenthood, right?  Haha…I kid!  I’m sure it would be fun to see the excitement on your kids’ faces when they see fireworks for the first time.  Or maybe they would just run away crying.Continue Reading »

A little over a year ago, my wife and I wandered over one weekend to a maple farm in western Massachusetts.  This farm had a little cafe with legendary pancakes, and of course they served those pancakes with fresh maple syrup.  This place lived up to the hype!Continue Reading »

Classic New Orleans Hurricane

So this past weekend, my wife and I hosted a murder mystery party.  We did one of these last year, and it was loads of fun.  Since we’ve been buried in snow here in upstate New York since, oh, November, we decided that this would be a fun way to get our friends together and forget about the weather outside…at least for an evening.
