Ingredients
For the Burgers
⅓cupdiced red onions
½Tbspolive oil
1poundground beef
4slicesKraft Natural Jalapeno White Cheddar Cheese Slicestorn into ½"x1" pieces
½tspred pepper flakes
2tspcurry powder
½tspground cumin
½tspsalt
½tspblack pepper
sliced cucumberfor topping
For the Raita Topping
½cupplain Greek yogurti.e. one 5.3 ounce container
2Tbspdiced red onion
1-2tspdiced jalapenosseeds removed
1tspchopped fresh cilantro
1Tbspdiced cucumber
pinchblack pepper
pinchground cumin
Instructions
For the Burgers
Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
In a medium pan, add the diced onions and olive oil; saute over medium heat until onions are soft and translucent (~5-6 minutes).
Transfer the onion mixture to a medium bowl and mix with the ground beef, cheese, red pepper flakes, curry powder, cumin, salt and pepper. (Tip: Mix well, but take care not to overmix or the burgers may be tough.)
Form mixture into 4 patties.
Grill burgers on medium-high heat until internal temperature reaches 160°F.
For the Raita Topping
In a small bowl, combine all ingredients together; stir well.
To Assemble Burgers
Place a spoonful of Raita Topping on each burger.
Top each burger with 2-3 additional slices of cucumber before serving (optional).
