These delicious Buffalo Chicken Hoagies feature baked chicken coated in crispy breadcrumbs and tangy, homemade Buffalo sauce. They're the perfect sandwich for the big game!
4bonelessskinless chicken breasts, cut into 1” cubes
½cupall-purpose flour
½cupBuffalo Saucerecipe above, divided
½cupblue cheeseor ranch dressing, divided
1cupPanko-style breadcrumbs
4hoagie-style sandwich buns
1/3cupblue cheesecrumbled
celeryfor serving
Instructions
For the Buffalo Sauce
Using a small saucepan, add all of the ingredients for the Buffalo Sauce. Place over medium heat, stirring occasionally, just until butter melts. Set aside.
For the Buffalo Chicken Hoagies
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil; set aside.
In a medium bowl, toss the cubed chicken with the flour until chicken is well coated.
In another bowl, combine about 3/4 of the Buffalo Sauce with 2 Tbsp of the blue cheese (or ranch) dressing. Stir until well combined. Place the remaining Buffalo Sauce aside.
Place the flour-coated chicken into the Buffalo Sauce mixture and stir until well coated.
Finally, in a separate bowl, toss the chicken with the breadcrumbs until well coated.
Place the chicken on the lined baking sheet; bake for 22-24 minutes, or until chicken is fully cooked.
Place the cooked chicken in the hoagie buns and top with crumbled blue cheese. Drizzle hoagies with the remaining dressing and Buffalo Sauce. Serve with celery.
