For the Meatballs

For the Sweet and Sour Sauce

brown sugar

cornstarch

water

white vinegar

soy sauce

ketchup
{optional} 1 Tbsp sriracha hot sauce
For Serving
{garnish} ¼ cup green onions
sliced
{optional meal} 3 cups rice
prepared
{optional appetizer} toothpicks or party picks
Instructions
For the Meatballs
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Brush the bottom of a large cast iron skillet with canola oil; set skillet aside.
Using a large bowl, combine all of the remaining meatball ingredients.
Shape into 1” meatballs and place in prepared skillet.
Place cast iron skillet in oven and bake for 23-25 minutes, or until meatballs are fully cooked.
For the Sweet and Sour Sauce
Meanwhile, using a small saucepan, combine all sauce ingredients.
Stir and bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat and let simmer for 12-15 minutes, or until sauce has thickened noticeably.
For Serving
Once meatballs are fully cooked, drain fat from skillet and pour sauce over meatballs. Stir until meatballs are well coated.
Before serving, garnish with sliced green onions.
Serve over cooked rice as a meal or with toothpicks as an appetizer.
