Ingredients
1Tbspextra-virgin olive oil
1medium yellow oniondiced
1tspminced garlic
½cuploosely packed fresh cilantro leaves
¾cupsour cream
¼cupcream cheese
2tsplime juice
1tspkosher salt
1tsponion powder
1tspchili powder
½tspgarlic powder
½tspground cumin
¼tspblack pepper
chopped green onionsfor garnishing
pita chipstortilla chips, corn chips and/or veggies, for serving
Instructions
Using a large skillet, add olive oil and place over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the diced onions. Sauté for 6-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until onions have softened.
Add minced garlic; continue sauteing for 1 more minute.
Transfer mixture into a food processor and add all of the remaining ingredients.
Pulse until mixture is smooth.
Transfer mixture into serving bowl and garnish with chopped green onions.
