tomato paste
a little less than a 6-oz can

minced dried onion

paprika
can substitute smoked paprika for a slight smoky flavor

cayenne pepper
or hot sauce to taste
Instructions
Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan; stir until well combined.
Simmer over low heat for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Allow taco sauce to cool before storing in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 4-5 days.
Notes
This sauce freezes very well, too.
