Ingredients
3Tbspvegetable oil
1/2cupsour cream
1/4cupsugar
2 1/4tspinstant dry yeasti.e. one 1/4-ounce package
1/4cupwarm water
1eggbeaten
2cupsall-purpose flour
1/2tspsalt
Instructions
In a large bowl, add the vegetable oil, sour cream, and sugar; mix until well combined. Add the remaining ingredients (yeast, warm water, egg, flour, and salt); mix until a smooth dough forms. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator overnight (or at least 8 hours).
Turn dough out onto a lightly floured countertop and fold dough lightly 2-3 times. Roll dough out to about 1/2"-3/4" thick. Either cut dough into squares or use a biscuit cutter to make rounds. Place cut biscuits on a parchment-lined sheet pan. Continue rerolling any leftover dough until all dough has been used. Cover biscuits lightly with plastic wrap and place in a warm (80°-85°F) location to rise for 2 hours, or until doubled in size.
