Instructions
For the Steak
Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
Brush both sides of the steak with vegetable oil.
Using a small bowl, combine the seasonings (salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and oregano). Sprinkle seasonings on top and bottom of steak.
Grill steak for 3-5 minutes per side, or until steak is done to taste.
Reduce grill temperature to medium heat.
For the Cheesy BBQ Steak Bread
Let grilled steak rest for 10 minutes and then slice into ½” cubes.
Using a medium bowl, add cubed steak, shredded cheeses and barbecue sauce; toss until well combined.
Slice baguette into 4 pieces. Using your fingers, tear out the center portion of each piece.
Lay large piece of foil on countertop. Fill center of baguette pieces with the steak mixture. Slice baguette chunks into 1” pieces. Line pieces up so that they are touching and then place on foil. (Note: At this point, the baguette should be “reassembled” into baguette shape – the difference is that it is now stuffed with cheese and steak and sliced into 1” pieces.)
Using a small bowl, make the garlic butter by mixing together the melted butter, garlic, Italian seasonings and salt. Brush the top of the baguette with this mixture. Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of shredded cheese on top of baguette.
Wrap baguette in foil, leaving top slightly open.
Place baguette back on grill for 10-12 minutes, or until cheese has completely melted and top of baguette has turned slightly crispy. Serve hot.
