Cinnamon sugar mixturefor garnishing rim (see note)
Apple slicesfor garnishing {optional}
Instructions
Using a cocktail shaker, add the apple cider, bourbon and caramel sauce; shake until well combined.
If desired, garnish rim of the glasses with cinnamon sugar.
Fill glass with ice and pour cocktail into glass; serve immediately. If desired, garnish cocktail with an apple slice.
Notes
Apple juice can be substituted, but I recommend apple cider. If apple juice is used, I recommend adding a pinch of ground cinnamon and a pinch of nutmeg to the drink.I recommend using Torani's caramel sauce as opposed to Torani's caramel syrup. The sauce is sold as an ice cream topping while the syrup is sold as a coffee flavoring. If you can only find the syrup, then start with half and add more until you reach desired taste - I find that Torani's syrups can get overly sweet quickly.For the cinnamon sugar rim, mix 3 Tbsp of granulated sugar with 1 tsp of cinnamon. Spread the cinnamon sugar mixture on a plate. Dip the rims of the cocktail glasses in water and then into the cinnamon sugar mixture.
