4ears fresh corn
8slicesthick-cut bacon
Instructions
For the Glaze
Mix ½ cup of the water with the corn starch until well combined. Set aside.
Using a small sauce pan, combine the remaining ingredients (½ cup of water, brown sugar, honey, barbecue sauce and garlic) over medium-high heat. Bring mixture to a boil. Let mixture boil for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Reduce heat to low and stir in the cornstarch mixture. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, for 1-2 minutes or until the sauce thickens. Set Glaze aside.
For the Corn
Preheat grill to medium heat.
Slice each ear of corn in half to create 8 half-ears of corn. Wrap each piece with 1 slice of bacon, using toothpicks to secure the bacon in place.
Place corn on grill and brush with the glaze. Close lid and grill for 20-25 minutes, brushing with more glaze and rotating every ~5-7 minutes. Once bacon is crispy, remove from grill and serve hot.
