For the Biscuits

all-purpose flour

granulated sugar

unsalted butter
melted

cup
buttermilk

cup
shredded cheddar cheese

Cabot's Vermont Sharp Cheddar Cheese
For the Topping

Tbsp
unsalted butter
melted
½
tsp
garlic powder
½
tsp
dried parsley
Instructions
For the Biscuits
Preheat oven to 450°F.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper; set aside.
Using a large bowl, add flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, baking soda, garlic powder and cayenne pepper; stir until well combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter and buttermilk. Pour mixture into bowl with flour; gently stir until just combined.
Using a spatula, fold shredded cheese into mixture.
Using a greased ¼-cup measuring cup, scoop the batter onto the prepared baking pan. (Note: Leave ~1” between biscuits.)
Bake for 13-14 minutes, or until tops of biscuits are golden brown.
For the Topping
Using a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, garlic powder and dried parsley.
Brush this mixture on top of biscuits while they are still warm from the oven.
Serve immediately.
